2005 – 2006

Located in Tuakau, the Waikato Water Treatment Plant was opened in 2002. It processes water from the Waiikato River, and then pumps it into drinking water supply networks.

For this project, Ward Chandler was contracted to Waikato Water to deliver a complete electrical upgrade for the Tuakau Treatment Plant, which was part of a two-stage plan of improvements for the facility. The upgrade would enable the treatment plant to serve the growing community whilst ensuring electrical components and instrumentation equipment was working optimally.
